Well I have to admit, November in these parts afford us some great sky images. Summer is sweet in that we have the sunshine and an occasional storm that passes through, but fall around here the skies seem to come alive in so many ways.
Today was a glorious sun filled day with clouds passing in many shapes and forms.. Later in the afternoon we had some snow bands pass through the neighborhood. It was kind of magical in its own way. It afforded a great looking sky shot as the sunlight caressed the outer linings of the cloud and the bands, or almost sheet like wall of snow passing beneath them in a cascade of rays from left to right.
What appears to be light above and between the trees is not sunlight, it is actually a wall of snow flakes being briskly blown across the horizon adding to the overall ambiance of the photo..
There is hardly a dull day in our skies that is for sure..all you have to do is look up or ahead and you will always find something transpiring or taking place...
I am considering doing a 365 challenge and shooting 365 photos of nothing but sky shots..Sounds kinda boring to most, but as I said we do get some incredible sky images in New England....
Same sky that evening, now if that don't look like Snow clouds..nothing does..lol.
