Western Journey of Autumn::..

It is said that Autumn is a time for introspection, harvest, and thankfulness. As the growing season comes to an end, we look to the west, the direction of the setting sun, and know that the blackness of winter approaches.

Use this time to reflect, to remember our past, and those having crossed over before us. Autumn is also for sharing, for donating time, money and other resources to charity and to those in need, and above all,,, it is a time for forgiveness. Forgive those in need of forgiveness, set aside grievences and focus on a better, more productive tomorrow.

The season, the holidays always seems to bring out the best in folks... My concern is why does it take such an event to bring forth the good in people, why does it not last throughout the year..I'm not saying lets have a year long holiday.. but rather we extend the same virtues, values, and behaviors throughout the year. Imagine the overall impact if everyone could muster the decency to perform such action for an entire year...I am sure it would change the global situation ten-fold.. yah, it may be a "pipedream" but I can always hope and know that I have done my part in redirecting my actions to a positive no matter the actions of others.

To harbor ill feelings and animosities toward others is fruitless and self destructive. It serves no purpose but to fuel your inner degradation and to slowly destroy your quality of life, and of those around you... So what may I ask is the purpose? Would it not be better to clear the conscience and harbor only good and positive feelings and actions toward self and others... Would it not be of benefit to raise the quality of life, and to expand the heart and mind.

Take the time to search yourself, your thought patterns, your actions, your choices.. Make right that which is wrong in your relationships with others and yourself.  For tomorrow will surely bring you a better day and for many tomorrows yet to come...

Have a great week everyone, be well, stay safe... Namaste!
